December Newsletter

A Note from the Principal

Parents & Guardians,

As we approach our December break, we are reminded of all of the exciting events that have taken place already this semester and look forward to the energy of the season. Our Fall Festival was a great success! Thank you to our families who braved the cold and damp weather to come out and spend the day with us. That turnout, provided with the donations from so many of our families, helped us to raise funds that can be put toward the use of additional playground equipment in the future. A special thank you to our corporate sponsors and donors for our silent auction:

Our next event, Pictures with Santa, will take place on December 11th from 6:00 PM-7:15 PM (see attached flyer). This is always an event that creates many special memories with our students, and we look forward to seeing each of you there.

Our holiday break is December 22nd- January 6th. As always, attendance is very important. Please partner with us by planning trips to take place over the break instead of during the school week and ensuring that each of our children arrives to school on time. This is such a busy time of year on our campus, and we don't want your child to miss out on a minute of learning!

Take a look at the rest of our newsletter to read about our other upcoming events. Be sure to stay informed about the great things happening on our campus by following us on Twitter (@FranconeElem) or "liking" us on Facebook. We appreciate your partnership!

PBIS

We are growing leaders! We have 82 students who have demonstrated SOARing behavior at school and have earned their Leadership Badge as a result. In order to obtain a Leadership Badge, students consistently demonstrate good behavior in all areas of the school, including the bus.

We also have some extra incentives happening in the month of December. Fourth grade is competing to see who can build their snowman the fastest through good behavior. Our SOAR store closes down from the stage while transform our library into a Holiday Shop, where students can spend their SOAR bucks on gifts for Mom and Dad. We hope these extra incentives make December magical for your child!

Watch DOG Sign Ups are Still Available!

Fathers and Father Figures, if you are interested in signing up to volunteer in your child's classroom, please contact Stacy Arias (281-897-4498) to schedule your visit. We love our Watch DOGS!
