A message from our school counselor, Mrs. Julie Voegeli!
September, 2021
Dear Woodfield Parents/Guardians,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to school. My name is Mrs. Julie Voegeli and I would like to introduce myself to the new families and briefly explain my role as a school counselor to all families. I have been working in the Waterford Graded School District since 2000 as a School Counselor. I live in Burlington with my husband, daughter and two spoiled Collies. I am very excited to be working with all of the Woodfield students and families this school year.
My goal as a school counselor is to help your child feel successful this year by providing a thorough program. One of the four main components of Woodfield’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is developmental classroom lessons that will be taught once a month in kindergarten through fifth grade. We use Second Step which is a social emotional curriculum that will drive most of my classroom lessons. Classroom SEL lessons teach students to: set goals, make better decisions, collaborate with others in work and play, navigate the world more effectively and gain self confidence.
Another main component of Woodfield’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is responsive services in which I will conduct six week confidential small groups on a variety of topics. In addition, I meet with students for short-term individual counseling. Parents, staff and/or the students themselves may request individual counseling.
Providing a positive educational experience for your son or daughter is my number one priority. I look forward to working with you and your child this year. If you have any questions or concerns free to stop in or call (514-8230 x3108) or e-mail (voegeli@waterford.k12.wi.us).
Sincerely,
Mrs. Julie Voegeli
Woodfield School Counselor

The Return of: 5th Grade Band
I am so excited to send you this note regarding 5th grade band….
WE’RE BACK!!!!!
I am stoked to have the opportunity to work with your kids this year. After 21 years at the high school, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work on the ground floor and provide the WGSD students an exciting band experience! This past week I met with the 5th graders to introduce myself and present all that band, as well as all that Waterford’s strong music education program offers. Next week I will be meeting with smaller groups and I will be helping them find “their” instrument. I will be keeping in contact with you to let you know how we are progressing. If you would like more information now, please follow this link.
SAVE THE DATE!!!! We will have Breber Music available to help you navigate the rental/purchase process of an instrument if needed on Wednesday, September 22nd from 4-6 pm at Fox River Middle School.
Thank you.
