PTA Shares Chair Opportunities for 2023/2024 School Year
The Madison PTA is so immensely grateful for all of the wonderful participation in the 2022/2023 school year. We're in great shape for next year already, with just a few areas and committees that still need help:

Fundraising Efforts Yield Dividends for Madison Students
Thank you to the entire PTA membership and board for helping to identify our budget pillars for fundraising and support efforts. These categories help us direct funds and make the most of the dollars for the entire Madison school community. With fundraising efforts from the Fun Run, Trivia Night, Butterbraid, Spirit Wear, Dining for Dollars, Amazon Smile Proceeds and Wheaton Events (like Cream of Wheaton Wristbands), the Madison PTA focuses on:
- Community (Welcome Committee, Meet and Treat, Multicultural Awareness, Beautification, Madison Cares)
- Education (School Assemblies, Explore More Day, Field Trips, Art Appreciation, Teacher Wishlists)
- Health and Wellness (Supplies, Staff Appreciation)
- Recreation/Fun (Clubs, Fifth Grade Celebration, Roller Skating, Room Parties)
- Administrative (Operating Expenses, Printing, Newsletter App)
Thank you to all families and friends who support our fundraising efforts and to everyone who has donated or helped generate funds for the Madison community this year.

Multicultural Day Makes an Impact for Madison Students
Thank you to Adrianna Odomirok for bringing multicultural day back to Madison! There was dancing, crafting and activities to help the kids learn more about Ukraine. You can see photos from the day

We are looking for more volunteers to bring knowledge and personal experiences to help with next year's events. Big events or small lessons - we're open to it all and would love to represent the cultures we have in our Madison community.

- Do you have roots in another country?
- Would you like to share a passion or expertise?
- Is there a holiday you celebrate that you can educate about?

Go Green Club Makes Madison More Beautiful
Thank you to the Go Green club for bringing some beauty to our school and our homes. The club ended the year by making wildflower seed bombs for moms for Mother’s Day and planting a ginkgo tree out front!
Morton Arboretum staff and former Madison parents donated and assisted with the planting of the tree. Students helped with the planting and can enjoy the tree for many years to come.
Madison Paw Prints Yearbooks Distributed on June 1
Yearbooks will be distributed the last day of school - on Thursday, June 1.
Congratulations to Kajol Kumar! Her artwork will be featured on the cover of the 2022-2023 Madison Paw Prints yearbook. Thank you to all the 5th graders who submitted amazing entries, and to all the students who voted.
Upcoming Wheaton Events Help Fundraise for Madison PTA
Madison community, thank you for continuing to support our PTA all year long. From the Fun Run and Butterbraid events to Trivia Night and the restaurant Cook’s Night Off events, thank you for the many ways that you give back.
We have two more opportunities in partnership with the Wheaton Park District for you, to save money while supporting our school:
1) Register for the Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals event taking place on June 3 and use the code MADISON23 when registering. You get $5 off your registration and $5 goes to the Madison PTA. *The discount code is only available for the 5k and 10k race option.*

Cream of Wheaton June 1-3 is a time-honored tradition in our community. Avoid the line and pre-order carnival wristbands for $25 (vs. on-site for $30). The PTA keeps $3 per wristband purchased and will be distributed May 24-25. An order form was sent home in backpacks, or you can go online.
Madison Signs Wanted
We're so glad you love your Madison signs, but we try to reuse them from year to year. If you still have one, please return it to the PTA mailbox (inside the front office) so we can distribute them to new students in the fall. No questions asked ;)
Keep Your Eyes Out - School Supply Ordering Information Coming Soon!
Before you head out the door for summer, the PTA will share school supply ordering information to help you get what you need for your student next year.

Art Institute Inspires Madison Students During Field Trip
The Madison PTA was proud to support Madison students' field trips this year. Here are Mrs. Anderson's students from 4th grade on their trip to the Art Institute this month.
