Coralie Myers, from Mrs. Russo’s grade 1 class, is a self-published non-fiction writer. She has authored a book about the ocean where she teaches fellow classmates about what is located in the sea. During class snack she educated her fellow classmates. Her beautifully crafted illustrations are accompanied by text that highlights fish, octopus, plants and mermaids. Coralie describes herself as both an author and an avid reader!

This week, students in grades 4 & 5 enjoyed a book tasting at the Balzano Cafe. The special of the day was a selection of Nutmeg Nominees. Each year, the Nutmeg Book Committee chooses 10 fiction books for the Intermediate category.
