School Safety

As we are settling into the second half of the school year, we thought this would be a good opportunity to remind you and your students about safety. Student safety is always our top priority. Please be sure to discuss and check in with your student(s) about the following:

  • Situational awareness - it's important that your student is aware of what is going on around them whether in school or outside of school
  • Remind your student to always walk with a friend and be aware of his/her surroundings when off school grounds

  • Strangers - discuss different situations that may occur with a stranger; remind students if approached by a stranger to yell or shout, run away, and tell a trusted adult what happened immediately

  • Impress upon your student the importance of going straight to school in the morning and coming home immediately after dismissal

  • If your student sees anything suspicious around the neighborhood or school, report it immediately to a trusted adult, staff member or local law enforcement

We appreciate our school community keeping us informed of incidents that occur at school or outside of the school day. Together we can help protect the well-being of our school community.

Virtual Reality IS a Reality!

Many of you may have already heard a rumor from your students about Manning receiving and using some (V)irtual (R)eality headsets. We are excited to see how this will add to an already incredible and fulfilling experience for your Manning student! Click here to learn more!
