  • The 6th and 7th grade Orchestras (and Honor Orchestra) put on a fantastic show last night. It is absolutely amazing to hear how far our students have come! Such talent!!! Way to go, Mrs. Morris! Also, thank you to Zac Cogdill and Chelsea Green who supported Mrs. Morris and our students!
  • The People Love Calories hosted by our wonderful clerical staff was so delicious! What a wonderful time to collaborate on some good food and fellowship!
  • Our basketball teams continue to work hard. The girls won against the Trickum Tigers and the boys played really hard.
  • Great news on the Robotics front from last weekend's competition. The results are in and the Terminators (7th grade team) Captained by Travis Hermel got 3rd place overall and a guaranteed spot in Super Regionals. The Terra.Bytes (8th grade team) recieved a trophy for most innovative project design. We also learned that the REBELS team (6th grade) will also move on to Super Regionals! Way to lead, Mr. Griffith!
  • Dennis Turnham continues to lead our Scholars Bowl to success! Our "A" team captured 3rd place at Creekland last weekend, and they will move on to the PAGE Championship in January.

COUNT ME IN AWARD... Kathy Crews

Kathy is kindhearted. Her nurturing spirit toward people is always evident to everyone who comes in contact with her. With her soft spoken voice, she is always giving tips on how to stay healthy and what medicines work best. What most people don’t know is that Kathy always put others first even if it means sacrificing her lunch break. She does whatever necessary to make sure students are taken care of and things are right! It is evident that students and our staff are her priority. This is just the kind of love that makes Five Forks thrive as a community. Thank you Kathy for simply being the loving, caring, and nurturing person that you are! You are a vital part of FFMS!

  • Forty-five percent of Americans make New Year’s resolutions. The top resolutions are: to lose weight, get organized, to spend less and save more, to stay fit and healthy, and to quit smoking. While nearly half of all Americans make resolutions, 25 percent of them give up on their resolutions by the second week of January.
