Join Us!

We're inviting 7-12 ELA Educators to Join PLAEA Instructional Technology Consultants Scott McLeod and Erin Olson along with Learning and Leadership/Literacy Consultant, Jill Sundblad, for a FREE day of tech-infused, literacy embedded, and Core connected learning. The interactive workshop will focus on new literacies, connected learning, and connected classroom opportunities. Throughout the day, we will share ideas and resources as we consider what it means to be literate in the 21st Century.

Our Agenda will Include

  • Resource Sharing

  • Lesson Ideas/Strategies

  • Creating/Developing a Network

  • Exploration of New Literacies

  • Avenues for Connecting Classrooms through Literacy

What to Bring

Please bring the computing device of your choice plus a power cord. We will have power outlets at each table. Please bring a couple of your best technology-enabled lessons, resources, activities, etc. for peer-to-peer sharing. What have you done with your students that worked well? What online resources do you like the best and why?


Lunch is on our own. We will take a break from 12pm to 1pm. Nearby restaurants include Family Table, Subway, and Pizza Ranch.
