Virtual School Application for 2021-22 School Year
Things to Remember:
- Registration for a base-school is still required no later than June 30, 2021
- Parents are committing to a minimum of one-semester of virtual school enrollment
- FCS can change a child’s placement (pathway, virtual, or onsite) based on the student’s academic progress/needs
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS MAY 21, 2021
REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR EXCUSE NOTES TO SCHOOL WITHIN 3 DAYS:
- Personal illness
- Hospitalization
- Emergency
- Death in immediate family
- Court subpoena
- Religious holidays
- Absences approved by the principal

Chorus Spring Concert is May 13th!
HIBBETT SHOW CHOIR & CHORUS SPRING CONCERT INFO
It is with great excitement that this year's Avant Garde Show Choir Showcase and HIS Chorus Spring Concert will be able to have a socially distanced audience of up to forty individuals per performance!

Requirements for Attendees and More:
- Masks will be mandatory for all attendees.
- Attendees must practice social distancing.
- Attendees will enter and exit through the exterior cafeteria doors on the 6th Grade car line side of HIS.
- Attendees will only be allowed to utilize the bathroom facilities across the hall from the cafeteria.
- Attendees may video record for personal use only to prevent copyright infringement. (Videos cannot be uploaded to any social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Attendees will need to RSVP by May 6th, 2021 for the HIS Chorus Spring Concert.
(The number of performances will be determined by the number of RSVP's received from the google forms located at the bottom of this email.) - Each performance will last approximately 20 minutes.
- If there are multiple performances, then we will have a 10-minute intermission in between each to allow for sanitization.
- The house doors will open at 5:45 p.m. for the first performance, and then be closed at the start of each performance.
- If you arrive on campus and the cafeteria doors are shut, then please wait patiently for the next show.

2-Phase Registration for 2021-22 School Year
It's that time of year for middle school sports tryouts & meetings! See info below & be sure to follow @FlorenceMiddle on social media!
Remember students are only allowed to have a water bottle at school - we have filtered water dispensers for them to refill it. No carbonated drinks, juices, energy drinks, etc.
The Birth to 3 is a tuition-based program, but there is no cost for the Pre-K. If your child is already in one of our Birth to 3 classes, your child will automatically transition to the next age class unless he/she will be in Pre-K next year.

While Florence City Schools students ALL receive FREE breakfast & lunch, parents may add money for "extras" to student lunch accounts and also pay for school purchases and fees through www.myschoolbucks.com.

Support our Food Service Program--Did you know that even if a student brings a lunch, they can still get items from the cafeteria? FUEL YOUR BODIES & BRAINS!
LOCATION UPDATE: Meal Distribution for Virtual and Remote Students
- K-12 Virtual School students and 7-12 Remote Learning students have the opportunity to pick-up a daily breakfast and lunch meal-bag free of charge. Each student must be present at the distribution site to receive the meal.
- The meal bags can be picked up Monday through Friday at FLORENCE MIDDLE SCHOOL between 12:15 and 1:15 P.M.
