Blake Maxwell, 8th Grader

A member of the Tison staff had this to say about Blake: "He has a great attitude and is always polite and respectful. He is very considerate, kind, polite, and smart. He is a great leader who tends to be on the quiet side so he may not get noticed for all the good in his heart and his mind. Every day in class, he works with those around him to help keep them on task and to keep them from misbehaving."

In order to get to know Blake a little better, he completed a student version of the questionnaire - "20 Questions in 60 Seconds". Below are his answers:

10. What's the weirdest job you've ever had?

I was an office clerk for a law firm, I found another job in three weeks.

11. What does true leadership mean to you?

Leadership to me has multiple meanings. If you want people to follow you, you have to show that you will lead by example. Everything is not always going to go your way or their way, but you have to think with a clear heart and open mind. If you treat people with respect, they will do just about anything for you. A true leader knows how to get the best out of people.

12. Which one would you want most -- flying cars, robot housekeepers, or moon cities?

I would definitely say moon cities because that would be another place to go hunting.

13. What has been the most important innovation you have witnessed in your lifetime?

This would definitely have to be all the changes in the ranching industry. I would say the most important innovation would be artificial insemination.

14. What would you do (for a career) if you weren't doing this?

I really don't know, I love kids and I love teaching, so it would definitely have to be something with the youth.

15. If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

I would love to go to New Zealand and be a hunting guide over there. I would love a chance to get to hunt the largest Red Stags in the world.

16. What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?

There could be an easier road to take, but take the road that you want to take and it will lead you to all new heights.

17. What are your three most overused words/phrases?

Boooyyyy, Huh, and Oh my lord.

18. How do you define success?
