ROALD DAHL DAY
On Tuesday September 13th, the ASPIRE Academy will join many around the world in celebrating Roald Dahl Day. This is a special one since it has been 100 years since his birth! Each class will pair up with an ASPIRE class from another grade level and complete a variety of activities to celebrate the "World's No. 1 Storyteller!"
Dot Day
On Thursday September 15th, many classrooms in our school along with many in the world will celebrate International Dot Day. This is a day inspired by The Dot about creativity and making a mark on the world. As part of the celebration, students are encouraged to wear clothing to school with dots on them.
Sky Ranch
Please plan to attend the Sky Ranch meeting on Thursday September 22nd. We will be discussing important information regarding our trip to Sky Ranch in the Spring. Chaperone applications and the chaperone selection process will also be discussed that evening.
SAGE
SAGE is a wonderful organization for you to join. If you're interested in connecting with other parents of the gifted or learning more about gifted children, be sure to join. We've heard great things about the special events they plan and speakers they bring in!

CURRICULUM NIGHT
Please plan to attend Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 15th. We will hold two identical sessions in an effort to accommodate parents with more than one child in the ASPIRE Academy. The first session is from 5:30-6:15 and the second sessions is from 6:15-7:00. Please plan to attend the session which is most convenient for you.
We ask that you make plans to leave your children at home if at all possible. If you can't come without bringing your child, please bring a quiet activity for them to do. Thank you for your cooperation.

PHOTOS FOR THE YEARBOOK
Although the end of the year seems very far away, it's never too early to start gathering photos to include in the yearbook. We have found an app that allows parents and teachers to submit photos that could be included in the yearbook. If you plan to attend any school events and wouldn't mind sharing your photos, please download the app using the appropriate link below to contribute.

Classroom Snacks
At times, students may forget to bring a snack to school. We like to keep an extra supply of snacks in our classroom for these occasions. If you are able to donate a bulk snack to our classroom, we would greatly appreciate it. A few suggestions are listed below:
- Goldfish snack crackers
- Chex cereal
- Animal crackers
- Cheerios
- Cheese-its
- Pretzels
Thank you in advance for your help!
