    Homecoming Week starts October 4th when students will be able to see their hallways decked out like the land of Oz! HoCo week is jam-packed with the Homecoming parade, pep rally, football game, royalty crowning, an outdoor assembly, and of course – the dance! Below, families and students can see the spirit week themes and a schedule of the events! Happy Homecoming!

    Parents: Action Needed for Donations

    Looking for an easy way to support our school? Please donate to our Homecoming Parade Pizza Party! The Mustang Club provides free pizza to all BVN students and staff before the parade, but we need you to help make it a complete meal!     Mustang Community Parade, Pep Rally, Bonfire and Fireworks - Oct. 6 @ 6:00 p.m.

    Please join us for a community parade beginning at the BVN main entrance (map route is below). Students clubs will decorate their floats before the parade, and there will be special guests riding in the parade. This event would not be possible without the support of the BVN Mustang Club, Father’s Club, and our community Sponsors: Paige’s Food Truck, KC Supply, Advent Health, The Sports Medicine Center at Children’s Mercy KC. We thank you!

    The least crowded viewing area will be on Walmer Street. The rally, bonfire and fireworks will begin immediately after the parade in front of the BVN baseball/soccer fields. Parking is available in the west BVN student lot & at Valley Park Elementary. Come show your Mustang Pride!

    Dance Ticket Advance Sales - Oct. 4-8

    Dance tickets go on sale starting Monday, October 4th and will be $15/student, in advance, $20/student at the door. Students can purchase tickets with cash or checks payable to BVN during lunch next week or with a credit card on the BVN Athletic website under Tickets. Ticket sales the night of the dance will be cash or check to BVN only at $20/student. The BVN main office is unable to allow parents to drop-off cash or checks for their student to purchase tickets. Thank you for making sure they have their cash/check in their back-pack before they leave for school.

    Dance Outside Guest Form due Oct. 6 by 3:30 p.m.

    If a BVN student wants to take an outside guest to the HoCo Dance, they must complete and return the Outside Guest Request Form for Dances to Mrs. Miller, Student Services, by Wednesday, October 6, at 3:30 p.m. Forms can be found in the BVN Main Office, Student Services Office or on this link: DANCEGUESTFORM . All guests must be under the age of 21, be at minimum a freshman in high school, only one guest per BVN student is allowed, the guest must present a valid photo ID (school ID or driver's license at the time of admittance to the dance and the guest must be in good standing at his/her school.

    Dance Details - Oct. 9, 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.

    Due to high demand, the 2021 Homecoming has been moved to the West Turf Football field behind BVN. The dance will still take place between 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. So come out and enjoy a fun field night of music (remember to wear comfortable shoes), yard games, and snacks. The BVN STuCo is excited to celebrate the 2021 Homecoming events with the entire school!

    This is a great way to see photos of the athletic teams & performing arts students, find out more about their coaches and directors, and read a greeting from the BVN Principal & the Mustang Club Presidents. Please take time to see the advertisements from our corporate partners and give them your business whenever possible.     Please Join The Mustang Club during 2021-22!

    Our parent community has been integral in contributing to our status as one of the best high schools in the state of Kansas and a leading high school across the nation.

    Please support The Mustang Club (the former BVN Parent Booster Club). It financially supports BVN's extracurricular activities (similar to a PTO/PTA), and over the last 6 years, has granted over a half million dollars to support our school’s extracurricular activities, organizations, and athletic teams. We could not provide the depth and breadth of opportunities without your help through memberships and donations of your time.

    The Mustang Club needs your support! Membership is down and volunteers are in short supply. Here are some options for you to consider:

    · Become a Mustang Club member at one of the five membership levels;

    · Purchase spirit wear from The Mustang Club website (;

    · Volunteer on a Mustang Club committee to support a specific event or cause; and

    · Take advantage of sponsorships for companies wanting to support BVN financially.
