Grade 8 Art Students Take Inspiration from Contemporary Artists
Eighth grade artists recently looked at the work of contemporary artists from countries where Lunar New Year is celebrated. The project below is inspired by Paulo Pastel, a Filipino artist who uses chalk pastels to create work that is making its way into the pop music and fashion scene.

Celebrating National School Counseling Week, Feb. 6–10, 2023
National School Counseling Week 2022, “School Counseling: Helping Students Dream Big,” sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), is being celebrated from Feb. 6–10, 2023, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success.
School counselors are actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents. They partner with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world. School counselors are certified, experienced educators with a master’s degree in school counseling. The combination of their training and experience makes them an integral part of the total educational program.
If you have specific needs or want to consult with our counselors, here is their contact information:
