ATTENTION SENIORS! Upcoming Senior Dates
Senior Interviews (2/23/23)
Seniors will be participating in a brief mock interview with a volunteer from the community.
Students participation in interviews is a required task for their Seminar classes.
Thirty interviewers from our community have generously volunteered their time to help the class of 2023 prepare for their next steps.
The interview will last approximately 20 minutes and will include feedback from the interviewer.
Interviews will be conducted in the gym.
Seniors will need to dress acceptably for a job interview and have a completed resume to present to their interviewer. Seminar teachers will assist in this preparation.
Each student will be assigned a time slot. Interviewers will be randomly assigned.
Students who attend a RESA program will not be scheduled for this event as they will attend their own event at a later date.
Job Shadow (4/12/23)
Students will not have classes at SJHS on this date.
Instead, students should seek out an opportunity to observe a workplace of interest.
The job shadow experience must last a minimum of two hours.
Seniors are responsible for securing their own sites.
Although we are providing the time on this day, we understand that availability of job sites and schedules may force this to be done another day.
A brief reflection form and signed acknowledgement from an employer must be submitted before 4/30/23. These are required tasks in Seminar. Additional direction will be provided by Seminar teachers.
Students who attend a RESA program will not be scheduled for this event as they have course obligations on that date. They should follow the directions of their instructor(s).
