Arroyo Seco Jr. High School -- January 17, 2020
Principal's Message
Hello Seco Families,
Happy New Year! It was great to welcome your children back to campus this week. Please note that there is no school this Monday, January 20, in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
As you can see, the solar panel carport installation is coming along. Work will continue until it's completed, most likely the first week of February. As sections are completed, we look forward to reopening portions of our parking lot. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process.
Parents, please remember to check into the office when coming onto campus. This includes arriving on campus before or after school, as well as during the school day. Thank you for supporting us in our efforts to ensure a safe and secure campus.
Have a great three day weekend!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day
In honor of MLK Day this coming Monday, here are some brief excerpts from his I Have a Dream speech from August 28, 1963:
I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are created equal."
... I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today.
