News & Announcements
Severe Weather Exercise
As part of our school safety and security process, and as mandated by law, in the coming days students and staff in each of our buildings will participate in a severe weather exercise. We recognize that it is critically important to prepare our school community for any potential real-life weather and security incidents by providing our students and staff with these mandated training opportunities.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s building principal should you have any questions. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Please note: Students and staff will continue to practice fire drills on a regular basis throughout the school year.
CV's Science Olympiad teams are heading to States!
During the Regional tournament at Millersville University on March 25, Mountain View's Science Olympiad team placed 4th, the team from Eagle View placed 3rd, and Cumberland Valley High School's team took home the championship title. Their successful performances earned all three teams a spot in the State tournament on April 22. The team from the High School will enter the State tournament as the reigning champs, and hope to defend their state title and secure a spot at Nationals.
Congratulations, and best of luck to our Science Olympians!

You can catch the team in action on PCN:
9 p.m. on March 31 | 2:30 p.m. on April 1 | 9:30 p.m. on April 2
Reminder: Athletic Event Live Streams
With a new sports season upon us, we thought it would be beneficial to share a reminder that Cumberland Valley School District posts directly on our Athletic Department webpage the OFFICIAL link(s) for any athletic competition that we are live streaming. We will also post on this page links to CV matchups that are being broadcast by other authorized companies or districts.
Should you wish to watch a live broadcast of an Eagles athletic event, we highly encourage you to only access links if you know that they are legitimate, such as those posted on our website. We cannot confirm authenticity of any other links that might be posted to social media or shared in any other way.
Thank you always for your support of our student athletes. Go Eagles!
Friends & Family Performance - Indoor Guard/Percussion
You’re invited to a Friends and Family indoor guard and percussion performance, which serves as a send-off to the KIDA Championships to be held this weekend. The show – featuring a performance of our Cumberland Valley Color Guard's award-winning "On Wednesday’s We Wear Black" – is free of charge and begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Mountain View Middle School.
Portrait of an Eagle: Student Spotlight
Middlesex Elementary School students recently designed and created working pinball machines as part of their Explorations class. Dr. Christopher was on hand to give their inventions a test-run. These projects are a great example of student collaboration, communication, adaptability, and problem solving. They are a Portrait of an Eagle!
