Kindergarten Orientation April 30th

Oakview Elementary is hosting a Kindergarten Orientation for parents of students registered in the Oakview kindergarten program for the 2018-2019 school year. Students must be fully registered at the school in order for parents / guardians to attend. To register a student, please check Oakview’s web site for the appropriate paperwork. School office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30-4:00. The orientation will be offered Monday, April 30, at 6:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Parents will learn more about Oakview’s kindergarten program and how to help their child make a smooth transition to school. Thank you in advance for making childcare arrangements. Snow Castle Spirit Night May 3rd

Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 3rd from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and come out to support Oakview at The Snow Castle on Woodruff Road! Oakview families can spend a fun evening out with friends at a local restaurant that donates a percentage of their sales back to the school.

Important Reminders/Information

  • Third through Fifth grade students will be participating in SC READY & SC PASS Testing May 9th - May 25th. Please refer to the teacher's website and Monday Memo for exact dates. Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives at school on time each day of testing. Thanks for your support.


  • Please do not send ANY MEDICATION into school with your child. All medication must be brought to school by a parent or adult with the proper permission forms. All medicine must be in a new unopened container. Prescription medicines will need a physician signed form. Now is the time to start picking up your child's medication from school. The last full day of school is June 5th. Any medication not picked up by June 6th at 12:30 will be destroyed. ***Students are not allowed to pick up their medication***

  • Parents/volunteers, remember to always bring your identification with you when you wish to visit/volunteer at school.
