COMPASS Survey

The end of March, SJHS students completed the 2020-2021 COMPASS survey. The survey is a 30-minute, online questionnaire about healthy eating, physical activity, sedentary behaviour, smoking, alcohol and drug-use, academic achievement, and mental health. The survey also included some questions about how youth are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of the survey will help to guide future planning and interventions to support students, parents, and staff at SJHS. Over the next few weeks in the SJHS Week at a Glance, the results from the survey will be shared with SJHS students and families. If you have any questions or comments about the 2020-2021 COMPASS survey results, please contact one of the counsellors or administrators at SJHS.

Grad Information

Grad Service Project 2021:
Each year, students from St. Joseph High School choose a charity they wish to support that aligns with their graduating class’ goals and values. This year, Grade 12 students have chosen to support Catholic Social Services’ St. Zita Program through their Grad Service Project.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Catholic Social Services has helped twice as many people in the first six months of 2020 as they did in all of 2019.
Through the Grad Service Project, students have an opportunity to think creatively about their fundraising efforts, and plan proficient ways to support those in need through referral, advocacy, and financial assistance.
All grades are welcome and encouraged to participate in the upcoming Grad Service Project initiatives and events. For more information on the 2020/2021 Grad Service Project, contact Ashley Visscher, Communications & Event Coordinator at ashley.visscher@rdcrs.ca
