Fall Celebrations
We have also added a Fall Fest Week & Red Ribbon Week (October 28th - November 1st). Be on the lookout for more information regarding this special week from many of our fifth grade leaders and from your child's classroom teacher.
Our intent with these changes is to be inclusive of all students and families (both those who celebrate Halloween and those who do not) as well as to improve our safety and security. Thank you in advance for your support!
Respectfully,
The Klem North Staff and Fifth Grade Student Leaders
This just in . . .
We have been in contact with Schutt's Apple Mill who is generously donating bushels of apples to our school specifically for our Fall Fest. During this week, our children will be given the opportunity to taste 5 different varieties of apples and determine which one they like best. We are looking for parents who are willing to volunteer in the cafeteria to cut/distribute apples and gather student feedback. A Sign Up Genius will be sent soon to look for willing participants. Thank you for your consideration. & THANK YOU SCHUTT'S!
Family Engagement
From the Nurse's Desk
Thank you for keeping your child home if they are too ill (severe coughing, vomiting)
and or have a fever. Students must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever
reducing medicine before returning back to school. Please let health office know if your
child has been diagnosed with strep.
If your child is injured, the health office must have a physician's note outlining
restrictions for Phys Ed and recess. We also need a physician's note for when your
child is returning to normal activities.
K, 1st, 3rd and 5 th graders must submit a current physical for this year. A physical
dated after or on 9/5/18 is good for this year.
The health office will start screening for hearing and vision as required by New York
State law for new entrants, K, 1st, 3rd and 5th graders. You will only hear from us if
there was an issue with the screening.
Check out the Klem North school website under health office for more information
and forms. Please contact me with any health concerns for your child.

ONE WEBSTER OFF TO A GREAT START!
The 2019-20 school year is off to a great start! There is so much going on throughout our district at each of our 11 schools. Be sure not to miss an event by following the district on social media: https://www.facebook.com/WebsterCentralSchools, https://twitter.com/WCSDProud, and Superintendent Gumina’s Twitter feed, https://twitter.com/superwebstercsd. Just this past week, Webster Schroeder High School performed the first musical of the year with amazing performances of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and we watched 700+ One Webster fourth graders enjoy the great outdoors along a mile course at North Ponds Park during the annual Fun Run. We can’t wait to see what the weeks ahead will bring. Welcome back, everyone!
48th ANNUAL SENIOR CITIZENS’ DAY - OCTOBER 24
The board is pleased to sponsor the 48th Annual Senior Citizens’ Day upcoming on Thursday, October 24. Invitations to senior citizens who live in the district will be mailed the first week of October. This much-anticipated community event is highlighted by performances from our talented student musicians, a wonderful Thanksgiving-style meal, and the ever-popular door prizes donated by area merchants and service organizations. Anyone interested in donating door prizes for this One Webster event, please email Jenifer_Calus@webstercsd.org as soon as possible.
