Girls Tennis Wins Summit Doubles Tournament
Congratulations to the Girls Tennis program on winning their second tournament of the season. The Lady Vikings competed in the Summit Doubles Tournament last week and walked away with the tournament title. Congratulations to these young ladies and they prepare to compete in the GAC Tournament.

Boys & Girls Cross Country Earn Medals At Sioux Passage
The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams competed in the Sioux Passage meet on Saturday and both programs turned in strong showings. The girls program finished third despite having several of their top six runners out and the boys program finished fourth. On the day the Vikings brought home six medalists. The past two weeks the Vikings have outscored their opponents 91-10. Next up are the Troy Trojans on the road. Troy is off to a hot 3-1 start this season. We look forward to seeing many Viking fans at Troy on Friday night. Thank you to our many fans that traveled to FHC on Friday!
Howell Softball Hosts 5th Annual Purple Out Game This Tuesday
The softball program will soon be hosting their 5th Annual "Purple Out" game. The game serves as a fundraiser for Friends of Kids With Cancer as well as the Trevor Joerling Scholarship which is given to a student each year at Francis Howell High School. This year the Lady Vikings will take on FHC at Lindenwood University on September 18th at 7pm. We encourage all Viking fans to come out and support this great event and fundraiser. The 5th Annual Purple Out game is just another great example of how the Howell programs serve others and give back to our community.
Mandatory Winter Meet The Coaches Set For October 10th
The winter season "Meet the Coaches" has been set for October 10th. Eligibility paperwork turn in will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the high school commons with the meeting portion of the evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. All eligibility paperwork must be complete to be turned in. All students participating in a fall MSHSAA sponsored activity must have this completed prior to the first day on October 29th. It is recommended that all paperwork be turned in at the "Meet the Coaches" event on October 10th. To ensure participation on October 29th all fully complete paperwork must be turned in no later than October 25th at noon. A link to all eligibility paperwork can be found below.

Being involved in an activity or sport at Howell carries many great responsibilities with it. One of the greatest responsivilities of being involved at Howell is representing our great school in a positive way through outreach in our community. Howell student-athlete and football player John Recca is doing just that through his involvment at John Weldon. Recca, a John Weldon alum is currently mentoring at the school. Thank you to John for helping to mold and mentor future leaders that will soon be Vikings at Howell!
