Wildwood Elementary School
September Newsletter
A note from your principal...
We have had an outstanding start to our 2022-2023 school year! Our students are learning classroom and school-wide routines and procedures as we lay a strong foundation for learning. Our teachers have created beautiful classroom environments where children feel comfortable engaging in rigorous content. I continue to feel proud of our Wildwood campus for providing high quality teaching and learning daily.
We have begun our Watch Dog program and it's been a joy to see our dads supporting our campus! Their presence on campus has added an increased comfort by checking doors, supporting students in the cafeteria and halls, and reading to classes. Thank you to all of our Dads for participating!
I look forward to seeing more of our parents when we open our doors for lunch visitors. As a reminder, parents are welcome to visit their child at their lunch time starting September 26, 2022. In the meantime, you are welcome to visit for lunch if it is your child's birthday. Our lunch visitation schedule is listed below.
Thank you for your support and allowing us to be a part of your child's growth and development.

Attendance
Our Assistant Principal, Megan Parker, will begin reaching out to families with excessive absences to schedule Truancy Prevention and Support Meetings beginning Friday, September 9.
Our students are very bright and capable, but will miss academic content as well as healthy socialization when they are not here.
Thank you for helping our overall attendance improve this year.
