THANK YOU!
Our Scholastic Book Fair held Feb. 6-8, was attended by many students and their families, and created much excitement around literacy and reading. We appreciate your attendance at the fair as each purchase made results in new materials for our library and classrooms. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with setting up and running this year's book fair. And thanks to our local business sponsors: Aletta Holsteins, Heartwork Homes, Keating Mechanical, Landmark Mechanical, Landmark Transfer, Landville Drywall, Maple Leaf Foods, Niverville Credit Union, Plett Trucking, Powerland Computers, and Valeant Pharmaceuticals.
Thank you to Lena Waldner, Terry Schroeder, Tamara Stropko, Emmy Hamilton, Jocelyn Betcher and Heather Buhler for providing Hot Lunches to our students on Fridays! We couldn't do it without you!
Thank you to our countless volunteers for helping out with the various stations at our Winter Fun Day this year. The students had a wonderful day! Again, this type of event is only possible with the help of our wonderful community.

Roots of Empathy
March finds the Grade 2/3MS class almost halfway through our weekly Roots of Empathy program. We have enjoyed getting to know baby Liam and his mother Lynette as they visit us in the classroom every third week. Our first Units have included Meeting Baby, Crying, Teething and Tooth Loss, and Emotions. Story telling and creating artwork are two means by which we are learning about attachment between baby and its caregiver, and identifying emotions in ourselves and others.
The second half of the program will continue to build on the essential role of caregivers in the safety and development of babies, communication and learning to respond to others with empathy.
Hot Lunches
Due date for envelopes is March 16.
Hanover Parent & Child Community Program
This program meets in our school on Thursdays from 1:15 to 3:15. Drop in to interact with other parents and children.
Report Cards
Please see below for instructions on how to access the Parent Portal if you have not already set up your account.
