Kids Are Not All Right- FREE Virtual Parenting Summit April 1-8
This has never been more true than right now as we deal with the aftermath of the pandemic and the repercussions of the isolation, mental health challenges and parent and child overwhelm that have only gotten more difficult.
Parents need help and, thankfully, that help has arrived!
We are excited to invite you to participate in The Modern Art of Parenting virtual summit, designed to provide the support and hope parents need at this moment.
From April 1-8, The Modern Art of Parenting will provide five sessions every other day to view for 48 hours until participants will have had access to a total of 20 on-demand, info-packed sessions. The presentations feature nationally-known experts speaking on subjects such as anxiety and depression, mindful parenting, raising resilient kids, how to stop arguing with kids, technology and social media issues, sexual health education and much more.
The parenting issues tackled in this summit are ones we all struggle with and these experts provide practical, easy-to-implement advice on how to alleviate the pain points of parenting and bring back the JOY in our family life—and we all need that!

3 Dell Scholarship Finalists!
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Lily Moore-Drummond, Klyrissa Porter, and Prince Pen on being selected for the Dell Scholarship!!
This competitive, national scholarship will award these students $20,000 towards college expenses, 4-years of mentorship to help them complete their college degrees, AND a laptop for college!
Band Success!
The band students participated in their first UIL evaluations in 3 years (the last time we got to perform UIL was 2019!). It was a special two days.
Our non-varsity received both "Excellent" and "Superior" ratings, which are the second-highest and highest ratings possible. This is incredible, considering the majority of them have never had the opportunity to perform high-school level. SUPER proud of those kids. Hats off to Ms. Carolyn Garcia leading the NV charge!
Varsity received what is called a "clean sweep" - all 6 judges gave the highest rating possible, which is "superior". This hasn't happened since 2015. You all know how awesome Crockett kids are - it feels good for them to get some recognition. Our seniors have certainly been waiting a very long time to perform at UIL again. It was an emotional, incredible day.
Thanks for all you do for our band kids. They couldn't be successful without you.
Congratulations to the Crockett U.I.L. Academic Team!
They won big at the District meet on March 26th,
competing against other 5A schools in Math, Social Studies, and Accounting!
Harper Sloan and Will Lott both earned medals in the Math competition!
Esme Lown, Charlie Steinfort-Springer, and Alex Corbett
won 1st , 2nd , and 3rd in Social Studies!
Eleese Peart, Harper Sloan, and Charlie Steinfort-Springer
won 1st , 2nd , and 3rd in Accounting!
We also won TEAM GOLD MEDALS in both Accounting and Social Studies, and these amazing students will advance to regional competition in Houston.
Thanks to Mr. Dylla, Ms. Serna, and Mr. Miller for serving as academic coaches.
Go Coogs!

Crockett Garden Club looking for supplies
Garden Club is back in swing and looking for any spare gardening resources – pots, plant clippings for propagating, tomato cages, etc. If they are cluttering up your garage – it’s a win win! Bring by Robinson’s room (room 2).
(COMING SOON - We hope to teach the kids how to propagate plants from cuttings so they can take one home for Mother’s Day.)
Please and thank you!
Robinson, Zapata & Gordon
Way to Go Trzincko!
On March 24th, at the South Austin Relays, Joey Trzincko (SR) ran a 4:57 mile. This is his career best and the best mile time at Crockett in decades! Running a sub-5:00 mile is a major accomplishment and we are so proud of Joey for putting in the hard work and dedication to make it happen!

Student Council would like to congratulate our March Teacher of the Month: Mario Morales!
According to his students and soccer team, Coach Morales deserves to be Teacher of the Month because....
"He Cares and connects with his students"
"He is a great teacher and is hardworking on and off the field"
"He is a very amazing teacher and an exceptional soccer coach"
"He is the best teacher and really helps me with all my work."
"He is the best coach and teacher out here."
and the most convincing argument: "He's the GOAT."
Congrats again, Coach Morales! You totally deserve to be Teacher of the Month!
Our Soccer team thanks you so much for your support!
Interesting Stats on the season:
- We went on a 9-game unbeaten run in the second half of the season.
- Juan Acosta secured 10 - Saves in 1 game versus LASA
- We had 10 different people score a goal this season
- First time in 8 years as Bi-District Finalists
- First time as Bi-District Champions & Area Finalists. (According to MaxPreps and the Gym Banners)
This was ALL Senior lead. 4 Years ago, we talked about what Crockett Boys Soccer was, where we wanted it to be, and what that meant. They exceeded all expectations.
Thank You again for supporting our boys!
