NEWS THIS WEEK IN THE WORLD OF CAREER & COLLEGE READINESS
P2 Theme of the Week- Open Mindedness
Last week's P2 theme of Teamwork, highlighted how important it is for people to work together to be successful. "Teamwork often means deferring or delaying individual accomplishments in order to ensure that the group maintains a high level of success. Their commitment to the larger group effort makes them good teammates. The positive feelings associated with being part of a larger whole -- can be highly beneficial and combat selfishness and egotism." Take a moment to listen to Captain Plumb's story of how teamwork saved his life.
This week's P2 theme, Open-Mindedness, focuses on how open-minded individuals tend to make more accurate decisions and are often better listeners. Remember, “An open mind is better than a clenched fist.” -Matshona Dhliwayo, Canadian author and philosopher
