Lakeview Lecture
January Edition
From the Principal...
It's hard to believe we are already at winter break and in a few more weeks we will hit the semester mark for the school year! December was full of excitement around the holidays with dress up days, concerts, craft and activity nights, and christmas corner! Thank you to all who participated as a spectator or volunteer! And a big shout out to the PTA for supporting so many of these activities!
Going into break, we are excited for Mrs. Goff, our ML teacher, who is anticipating having her first baby during break. In her absence, we are fortunate to welcome Ms. Cook as her long-term substitute. Ms. Cook is a recent graduate of UW-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education and ESL (English as a Second Language). She is excited for the opportunity to jump right in and help support Lakeview staff and students!
After looking at the January calendar, it is far less action-packed than December, but know the academic work we do never slows down! January is traditionally a time for mid-year assessments that we use to measure student growth from the beginning of the year and it's also the time when we report out to families student progress and report cards. Although in the past, report cards were the main source of communication of student progress, please remember your child's teacher is only one call, email, or message away if you have questions!
As always, thank you for partnering with us to provide a great educational experience for your child! If you need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Mr. Bretl

Lakeview Attendance Goal
Currently, we have 214 students at Lakeview and in the first two months we have missed 803 days of school.
Great work to those who have not missed a day!
