Cardiologists are physicians who specialize in heart conditions and other cardiopulmonary problems. They examine patients and diagnose and treat blood vessel and heart issues; order or conduct diagnostic testing and analyze results; advise patients about treatments and healthcare.
Education: Doctoral degree in Medicine; completion of a residency program in internal medicine and cardiology. They also need a State licensure and cardiologist certification.
Salary: Median salary is $203,576 annually
