Library Resources You Can Use
To get a Gleason Library card, you need a photo ID and proof of address. The library cards are free, and there are no fines for overdue items. Children under 13 need an parent or guardian to sign them up for a library card. The Gleason Library offers picture books in English, Spanish, and French. You can also request books in other languages from 35 other libraries and have them delivered to the Gleason Library for you to pick up. This video shows you how to find and request books.
Any Massachusetts resident can sign up for a Boston Public Library (BPL) eCard, which allows you access to the BPL's collection of digital resources, including movies, magazines, audiobooks, and eBooks. The video below explains how to get an eCard number.
Minuteman Library Network
To get a Minuteman card, simply bring your Gleason card (or proof of MA address and photo ID) to any of the Minuteman libraries. Once you have this card, you can borrow books from their collections as well.
