Chesterton finished third in the AA division at the State Speech tournament! CHS had 10 semifinalists and 7 advanced to finals and performed to their highest level!

CHS Student Government Senior Showcase Event set to raise money for charity!
The time has arrived for Student Government’s 2023 CHS Top Trojan Senior Showcase!
Each candidate has picked a CHS staff member to sponsor them and help raise funds for their charity of choice. From March 20th to March 23rd, candidates and their teacher sponsors will partake in various competitions, including a ping pong tournament and a mini gameshow. Additionally, each senior will be selling their favorite candy of choice from 7:10 - 7:30 AM outside their teacher sponsor’s classroom. The senior who raises the most funds for their charity will be crowned the 2023 CHS Top Senior. All of the donations collected will be given to their chosen charity.
The seniors and their charities are:
- Matticyn Gropper (Mrs. Goodman): American Heart Association
- Owen Guest (Mr. Boetel): Little Family
- Connor Katsafaros (Mr. Dan McCoy): Mrs. Morris Bench Fund
- Ronnie McClemore (Mr. Nallenweg): Direct Relief
- Jorge Ortiz (Mr. Wagner): Mental Health Awareness
- Emma Vetroczky (Ms. Orosz): Lurie Children’s Hospital
Students can vote for their favorite candidates during lunches by purchasing tickets for $1 each.
The community is also welcome to donate by using the link provided below. The link will be activated on March 16th and will close on March 23rd at midnight. Please specify which candidate your donation will be going towards.
The winner will be announced on Friday, March 24th. Make sure to go and vote for your favorite 2023 top CHS senior!
