Social Emotional Learning Spotlight: Bullying
Students in our upper grades learned about preventing bullying in December by recognizing bullying as “harmful behavior on purpose that is continued and unequal or one-sided.” They also learned how bystanders can report, support and refuse when they recognize bullying. Check out the drawings by students in Ms. Rebekah’s class showing how they will prevent bullying. Bullying prevention lessons will continue in our lower grades this month.
We have also been focusing on emotion management in our Second Step lessons and solving problems, especially conflict, peacefully in our Life Skills lessons. Students have been learning about different strategies from our problem solving wheel to use when problems arise. Ask your child which ones they have been using!
PE News
Thank you to all families that participated in our Cash for Cups sale! All the Speedstack sets were sold!
Just a reminder that it is very important for students to have gym shoes for PE to participate in the activities and remain safe. Check out when your student has PE below!

Securly
Helping students make great choices with technology use is important to us and we know it is important to you as well. As a parent/guardian, you have access to your student’s online activity through an app called Securly.
An invitation email from Securly to download the app has been sent to the email on file in your child’s Infinite Campus account. You can also find the app in your device’s app store (Google Play or Apple App store).
Securly has many features, and you are encouraged to download and explore. In addition to being able to see your child’s activity, you will also be able to monitor and adjust settings beyond the school’s filtering settings.
If you have any questions about how your student is using their school-issued device, you are encouraged to contact your school’s principal.
For questions about Securly’s online safety solutions, please visit www.securly.com/home. For any additional questions, email homesupport@securly.com.
