Some Fellows may have the opportunity to work directly with one of our State Headquarters teams (Communications/Digital, Operations, Policy/Research, Finance, etc). Development Assistant - International Coalition of Sites of Conscience

The Development Assistant plays a key role in helping the Coalition meet its annual fundraising goals by: managing the grants calendar, the donor database and other key departmental systems; helping identify new donors through prospect research and internal strategy meetings with other staff; maintaining and building relationships with current and potential donors through correspondence, phone conversations and in-person meetings; and participating in larger fundraising and organizational planning.

Policy Coordinator - Drug Policy Alliance

The Policy Coordinator in upstate New York will play a leadership role in the development and implementation of public policy initiatives and advocacy campaigns with a particular focus on aiding in the implementation of the Ithaca Plan and supporting municipal advocacy efforts in Central/Western New York. These initiatives and campaigns, developed in conjunction with the State Director, are pursued largely at the state and municipal levels, occasionally at the federal level, and always with an eye toward broader movement-building goals. Family Services Specialist - James City County Social Services

Have an interest in social services? James City County seeks someone to provide protective services to children (and possibly the disabled and elderly), as well as work with families to prevent crisis and secure the well-being of all including children, older adults, and families; conduct field visits to schools, homes and hospitals and removing victims from homes if necessary. Coordinate with law enforcement and school personnel; provide assessments and intensive case management; develop and implement service plans to address family and individual needs; and maintain reports consistent with local, State and Federal policies. Provide written reports and verbal testimonies at court hearings; file petitions and affidavits; coordinate activities with attorneys and law enforcement; implement court-ordered services; work with service providers in the community; serve on interagency service assessment teams; serve as a client advocate in accessing services and working with other agencies such as schools, courts, and mental health professionals.
