The J-Hawk Experience!
Info you need to know for week of May 27 - 31!
Message from the principal
As our seniors wrapped up their final week of classes and rehearsed for graduation, we look forward to an exciting week at UHS with senior honors assembly and graduation along with our last week of regular classes for all other students (followed by finals the following week on June 3, 4, and 5). The Class of 2019 has done a tremendous job leading both in and out of the classroom in many ways. They were recognized in local and national arenas for their work on class projects, they have qualified teams for state tournaments and won titles, they have performed at national conferences for many to see and hear their amazing performances. Thank you, UHS Class of 2019!
Last week, we had the chance to practice for graduation on Friday and then have an exciting senior picnic. UHS Class of 2004 alum, Zach Benson, spoke to seniors about following their passions and dreams, acknowledging that there will be struggles but to keep focused on positive relationships and to move forward with interest areas to have success. Seniors then enjoyed their last lunch together before they graduate next week.
Also, it is important to remember that we take today off from school and work for Memorial Day, where we honor those people who have passed on before us. In particular, we honor and recognize the courageous individuals who served and sacrificed for our country.
Sincerely,
Tim Carver
Principal
