Paris Ridge Families -
Next week, we will take time to pause and celebrate Staff Appreciation Week! I am hopeful that you will join me in taking the opportunity to reach out and connect with staff here at Paris Ridge and express your gratitude as you start to reflect on the 2021-2022 school-year. Although last year presented unprecedented new challenges for our staff, in many ways, this school year has been even more challenging as we have fought to bring back old traditions and start new ones all while still navigating life in a global pandemic. I am so unbelievably proud of our staff for the way they have continued to “show up” and make Pairs Ridge a place where students and families want to be, grow and thrive. Please take time this week to share your words of encouragement and your words of gratitude as we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week and head into the final five weeks of the year.
During the month of May, our classroom lessons within our Social Emotional Learning curriculum will focus on making amends and forgiving others. People often make mistakes that can result in hurt feelings, broken belongings, and damaged relationships. Learning how to repair these situations helps students maintain good relationships despite the conflicts that inevitably occur. Students will discuss how to make amends ("Say your part, speak from the heart, and fix what's been broken apart"), develop a forgiving attitude, and then practice these skills with their peers.
The next five weeks will be filled with a number of activities for students as we complete our spring assessments as well as celebrate our year of learning through end of the year activities. It will be a busy time - but a great opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the year and focus on all that they have accomplished.
Have a great weekend Panthers!
Your Principal,
Mr. Vydareny
