MISD Summer Programs
Learning is a year-round experience at Mansfield ISD. The district offers a variety of academic and enrichment opportunities for grades pre-K through 12 during the summer.
Some of these opportunities include acceleration courses, academic intervention programs and credit recovery classes. There are also enrichment camps to keep students engaged and summer study suggestions to help students prepare for the upcoming school term.
To view all of the district's summer offerings, please visit the Summer Programs at MISD webpage.
Tiger Soccer Camp
The Tiger Soccer camp will be for all boys and girls who will be incoming 1st-9th graders. The camp will focus on the core
fundamentals, character development, and of course some individual and team competition so campers can challenge their
skills. The Camp will be run by Mansfield HS Coaches and former Mansfield players and we can’t wait to see you play

Timberview Art Camp
Mansfield ISD is in the planning stages of establishing a fully online school of choice for students in grades 5-12 for the 2021-22 school year.
Please note that the launch of this school of choice is dependent upon decisions being made at the state level that will decide if virtual learning will be approved and funded for the next school year. The Texas legislature is currently discussing the framework and will let local districts know when a decision has been made.
If the state allows, the school—named the MISD Virtual Learning Academy—will give students who thrive in a 100% online environment the opportunity to continue to learn virtually.
In contrast from the current school year’s online option, the Virtual Learning Academy will be its own independent campus. The academy will have its own designated principal and teachers.
Courses offered at the MISD Virtual Learning Academy will include those needed for graduation requirements and endorsements. Career and technical education (CTE) courses will also be provided with opportunities to earn an industry-based certification in business management and accounting/financial services pathways. View course offerings here.
All courses offered at the Virtual Learning Academy will be on level. Students will not be able to take advanced, advanced placement or dual enrollment courses. The school will not participate in University Interscholastic League (UIL) athletics or fine arts programs, and the academy students may not participate in these activities at other MISD schools.
The use of a district-issued device is required, and a Chromebook will be available for every intermediate, middle and high school student who is accepted into the Virtual Learning Academy.
Those interested in applying for the school may do so during the application window, which is Monday, May 3 through Monday, May 10. Submit an application here.

Tipps hosted campus tours last week!
As Mansfield ISD continues to assess the data pertaining to COVID-19 activity in Tarrant County, the district is experiencing a decline in confirmed cases, indicating numbers are trending in the right direction. Additionally, as a district, we remain vigilant with a focus on the safety and health of the MISD community as any new recommendations are made.
By utilizing data and following district values, MISD has decided to modify its quarantining criteria for students and staff members. Beginning April 19, the start of the Sixth Six Weeks grading period, students and staff members who are consistently and properly masked while being exposed to someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19 will not have to quarantine.
The use of masks as a mitigating factor for quarantining was thoroughly evaluated. By comparing data with surrounding areas that do not quarantine properly masked individuals, seeing the increasing number of staff members who are able to receive the vaccine if they desire, and keeping our social distancing and handwashing protocols in place, the district believes this approach will not compromise the safety and health of students, staff members and families.
We understand this decision also comes during the window to switch learning modes for students to in-person learning or to virtual learning. Please keep in mind that the window to switch modes of instruction is open now through Friday, April 2 at 11:59 p.m. Transfers submitted during the noted window will take effect on April 19. Those interested in transferring must log in to their Skyward Family Access account to submit the form. Specific instructions are available here.
MISD will continue to monitor the situation and communicate any updates as necessary. Thank you for your continued support as we work together for the safety of the community.
