Principal's Message

Dear Jackie Robinson K- 8 Community,

Thank you to all families that are working along our side to make this a successful start to the year! It was great to see many of you taking part in our Virtual Back to School Night. Know that our teachers worked hard to make that a special experience for you since we were unable to be in person. As we get ready to take on week four, I want to remind you that our teachers are engaging our students in an entirely new way. Some strategies transfer quite easily and other a bit more challenging. I ask that you are patient and flexible as we are ALL still learning together.

PARENTS.... please pay close attention to the School Site Council parent election taking place this week. A special thank you to the following individuals that have volunteered to represent YOU parents:

1. Mr. Jessie Comer

2. Ms. Laverne Mayfield

3. Ms. Sandra Santoyo

We are still in need of one more representative so please email Mr. Madrigal at smadrigal@lbschools.net. Below you will find the SSC Parent Election Ballot. Please submit by Thursday, September 24. You may also come to Robinson and cast your vote in person as an option.

It was great to be in community as we took part in our first Virtual Spirit Week this past week! Thank you to all families and staff that took part in the fun. Feel free to send pictures you took of your child to me at smadrigal@lbschools.net or Mr. Marengo at rmarengo@lbschools.net.

With appreciation for all your continued support,

Salvador Madrigal

Principal

Salvador Madrigal
