This webinar will share how the report card was developed and provide top line results of Canada’s food performance covering healthy food and diets, industry prosperity, household food security, food safety and environmental sustainability.

Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, the Nutrition Resource Centre (NRC) has operated under the Ontario Public Health Association (OPHA) since 1999. We are one of 14 health promotion resource centres operating in Ontario.
Our Mission is to strengthen the capacity of health promotion professionals and community partners involved in healthy eating and nutrition across the health continuum.
Through networking and collaboration, the NRC is fostering knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE) and building a centre of excellence in evidence-based resources and tools that will support program and policy development throughout Ontario.

Jean-Charles Le Vallée, Msc, PhD
Jean-Charles Le Vallée, Msc, PhD, is a Senior Research Associate with The Conference Board of Canada's Centre for Food in Canada. A former World Bank economist, Jean-Charles has coordinated Canada's Food Security Bureau at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and managed the world's largest food security web community for the Development Gateway. He has extensive teaching and research experience with FAO, IFPRI, the World Food Prize, and numerous universities such as Cornell, Laval, Michigan State, and Ryerson. Jean-Charles is the author of a book on food system resilience and has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, and policy briefs on food issues.
