Welcome!
From the District Administrator's Office
This past Tuesday we celebrated the conclusion of the eighteen year career of Sam Stewart as a School Board member. Sam was elected to the Flambeau Board of Education in 1998 and was elected Treasurer of the Board in 2000. During Sam's tenure, he saw the construction of our beautiful school, the playground, and our bus garage. As an instrumental member of our Board and a Flambeau parent, Sam proudly handed Flambeau High School diplomas to both of his children. Sam has certainly had a lasting impact on our staff, students, and community.
Serving on a school board takes a great deal of dedication and passion. Sam possesses both of these qualities and has exemplified them during all of his six terms. It is unusual to find individuals willing to make the commitment to serve one or two terms. Sam has continued his passion and pride for Flambeau that was born when he started his educational career the second year the Flambeau School District was in existence in 1962.
We greatly appreciate Sam's efforts and dedication and wish him the best of luck in the future.

From the Principal's Office
On Tuesday, April 12th, our fourth graders loaded Krug’s Motor Coach and headed off to Madison for their annual State Capitol field trip. It was a fabulous trip and the kids and chaperones had a memorable time. As part of the curriculum with this trip, our State Representative, James Edming “Jimmy Boy”, visited our Flambeau fourth graders the week before and presented on how a bill becomes a law. When we arrived at the Capitol, Jimmy Boy was waiting for us and joined us on our tour. Because he took the time to join us on our tour, our students were able to explore parts of the capitol that are typically not be open to the public. We were able to experience the beautiful Rotunda, the Supreme Court, the Senate Chamber, the Assembly Chamber, the North Hearing Room and Jimmy Boy’s office, where students followed up with many questions they had about his job as State Representative and facts about the Capitol.
After our visit to the Capitol, we made a stop at Henry Vilas Zoo, where students were able to walk through a tropical rain forest, watch the tigers and lions bathe in the sun, see the fine details of feathers, scales, and eggs at the exploration stations’ microscopes and magnifying glasses, watch primates in their habitat swing from vines, and much, much more!
Thank you so very much to Mrs. Walters, and Mr. Stewart for putting this trip together, and we certainly wouldn’t have been able to manage without such great chaperones—Mrs. vanDoorn, Mrs. Roach, and Mrs. Snider, thank you!
Enjoy your spring break!

From The Athletic Director's Office
When basketball season was taking place many of us were looking forward to a change in the weather. Well the better weather seems to be here and while we are now playing softball, baseball, and running track I want to talk about basketball, go figure. We will be having the Harlem Wizards in to play the Flambeau Fever May 11. The Wizards are the new version of the Globetrotters for you more experienced folks. The Fever will be some new and old Falcons retrofitted for the evening as well as staff and local celebrities.
The event is designed for a fun filled family night out and I hope you come and take advantage. The other main function of the night is to serve as our spring fund raiser. In the past teams kind of did their own thing, candy bars, candles, etc. I thought it would be nice to have one large event and hopefully save all of us from the constant barage of sales.
Tickets are being sold by all spring sport participants as well as many area businesses, just look for the big yellow signs. As the event gets closer I will update you more.
