Starting Tuesday, September 14th, the 2020-2021 MHS Yearbook hand out will take place over the one hour lunch and right after school. Students in grades 10-12 can stop by the yearbook table to sign out their book. Students must sign out their book. The class of 2021 can pick up their yearbooks from the main office starting Wednesday, September 15th. We prefer a family member sign out their book; however, if this is not possible, please contact Neenah Eben at Neenah.Eben@marshall.k12.mn.us with the name of the person who has permission to sign out your book.
There will be an informational meeting for students interested in Business Professionals of America (BPA) on Thursday, September 16 in Room A155. Come at 11 or 11:30. You are welcome to bring your lunch. Past members should attend as well. There is a contest for everyone so come and check out the opportunities.
Any student interested in working the school store (Tiger’s Den) should see Ms. Kellen. She is located in the business ed/sophomore locker bank.
- Picture Re-take Day at MHS is Wednesday, September 22. Students who did not have their picture taken in August should plan on having their photo taken on this day. If you would like a re-take, please return your portrait package at the time of your photo. To pre-order, use Code EVTBTT7PK. Order packets are available in the office, or you can order online after you receive your preview.
- FFA will be holding a new member event on Tuesday, 9/14 during the second half of lunch in FA103. Join them for fun activities and free food and find out more about FFA!
- School Supplies are on the table outside of Student Services. Please help yourself if you need anything.
- After Hours will start on Monday, September 13 in A156 (Mrs. Stelter's room)
- Homework Help will begin after school on Monday, September 13, in Mrs. Snyder's room (A202). She will be available every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday right after school.
- The first official meeting of the MHS Spectrum club will be held on Thursday, September 23 at 11:05 in room A252. ALL are welcome!
Student Services Announcements
Juniors who plan to take the PSAT test need to stop in Student Services to sign up for the test. Bring $18 exactly change or a check made out to MHS before the end of the school day on Tues. Sept. 14th. Check your school email for more information.
The Financial Aid Planning night for all seniors and their parents has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 13th from 6:30-7:30 P.M in the theatre. Natasha Boe, a financial aid expert, will be the presenter. Learn about the types of financial aid and how to apply. All seniors and their parents should plan to attend this important meeting.
- The Minnesota Association for College Admissions Counseling (MACAC) is inviting juniors and seniors to attend a virtual college fair this year. The virtual college fair is being held on Oct. 6th and Oct. 7th from 5-7:45 PM. This is an opportunity to learn about over 150 colleges (both public and private colleges, universities and community/technical colleges). Topics discussed will include majors or career areas offered, scholarships, financial aid, choosing a college, etc. Interested students/parents must register for the college fair at strivescan.com/minnesota.
