STEM Night!
Volunteer Appreciation!
We are extremely lucky to have the BEST volunteers here at Washington! We want to thank you for everything you do for our staff and most importantly the kids at Washington. We appreciate you everyday, but this week we want to honor you. Stop by the office for a delicious snack or treat Tuesday-Friday this week. :)
Our Community is Awesome!
Thank you, Washington!
This year’s Auction for the Arts was a record success! Due to the generous support of our donors, auction attendees, art parents, and all Washington families, we were able to raise an unprecedented $67,000! These funds will support our all-volunteer art program, math and reading education programs, new technology, playground equipment, teacher accounts, and field trips. This number includes the $9,700 that was raised through the ‘paddle up’ portion of the live auction that will be allocated to fund a new S.T.E.M. library at Washington.
Also, through the Boise School District, Washington Elementary had been partnered with Garfield Elementary Community School to help support the changing demographics in our school district and address students’ most pressing needs. At our Auction for the Arts, we raffled a beautiful table that was handmade by a Washington parent in support of this mission. This raffle raised $860 that will be donated directly to the Garfield Community School.
Thank you all!
