Anne Wien ASP News

Gym Time! is facilitated by Ms. Ekstrom, an ASP team member, and a regular substitute teacher throughout the district, including here at Anne Wien...AND...the mother of Anne Wien 2/3 grade teacher Ms. Zatica! From Duck Duck Goose and balloon volleyball to basketball and various good ole schoolyard games, students practice navigating failures and successes, working on a team with peers, and learning how to recognize emotions in their bodies. Students encourage each other in developing physical skills while getting their heart rates up! We might add it does get a wee bit noisy!

Winter Holidays Around the World

• Building bricks support basic math like addition and estimation. Use an ink pad and bricks to create the templates. Create all kinds of shapes, from stockings to ornaments!
• Combined with clay, toys, and paper crafts to create holiday scenes.
• Brick building plates are AWEsome and besides a base for building structures, they can be used to create marble mazes!
• Christmas ornaments that snap together and can be reused.
