Diagnose and coordinate all aspects of the birthing process, either independently or as part of a healthcare team. May provide well-woman gynecological care. Must be able to monitor fetal development, and be able to care for women during pregnancy and child birth. Has to be depended on for the safety and health of other human beings. Being able to handle stressful situations easily, because you are put into arising conflicts often.
to become a nurse midwife, you must have a Masters Degree, but some may require a bachelors degree in midwifery
You have to be able to work in a team and quickly, you have to be able to make decisions on someones safety, have to be a good problem solver, very adaptable and flexible with your work schedule.
