Project PUSH is an acronym for Perseverance, Unity, Strength, and Health. The purpose of Project PUSH was to provide students with the opportunity to participate in a ropes course. Through this activity, students will be exposed to both physical and emotional growth. Different activities provided by the Orange County Ropes Course will give students the opportunity to utilize skills that will promote self-confidence and team building.

Hello EL Parents and Guardians,
If your child is in the EL Program at DBHS, they are scheduled to take the ELPAC exam on the following dates based on their grade level:
9th grade: Tuesday, February 21 at 8:30 a.m. 10th grade: Wednesday, February 22 at 9:15 a.m. (Late Start) 11th grade: Thursday, February 23 at 8:30 a.m. 12th grade: Friday, February 24 at 8:30 a.m.
The ELPAC exam is a test that will measure your child’s progress in learning the English language. The ELPAC will test their abilities in reading, writing, listening and speaking. They will also take the district writing assessment during this testing period.
Please carefully read the directions below and review it with your child as it will provide important information about their ELPAC test. A copy of this notification letter has also been sent to your child’s school email:
Report to the testing location, room #552 (upstairs of the 500 building; to the right of the elevator), on the day of your test. DO NOT go to your period one class.
Bring your DBHS chromebook and charger with you. If you do not have a DBHS chromebook, one will be provided to you when you check in for the test.
Bring your student ID card.
Bring your personal earbuds/headphones. If you do not have earbuds/headphones, they will be provided to you.
The test will take approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. When you finish with your test, you will be excused to go back to your class based on your schedule.
Bring your backpacks and personal belongings with you for later in the school day. You may not use a cell phone or any notes/materials from your classes during the ELPAC test.
This test is important because it is one of the criteria used to determine your child’s readiness to reclassify as an English Learner. Please make sure they get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast.
They may prepare for the ELPAC by taking some of the online practice tests. Click on this LINK!
If you have any questions about the ELPAC, please email Mrs. Cho (echo@wvusd.org) or Ms. Dreyer (tdreyer@wvusd.org). We look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks for the ELPAC! Good luck!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cho and Ms. Dreyer

Walnut Valley Unified School District has moved to ParentSquare!
We are excited to let you know that starting the 2022-2023 school year, ParentSquare will be replacing Blackboard Connect as the new district-wide communication platform. ParentSquare, will allow Diamond Bar High to unify all parent communication from the district, schools, classrooms, and school activity groups under one umbrella.
With ParentSquare you’ll be able to
- Receive all school and classroom communication via email, text or app
- View and download photos
- View the school and available classroom calendars
It is our hope that WVUSD's partnership with ParentSquare will enable a stronger dialogue between school & home. We also hope it will help empower everyone within the school community to stay connected and informed.
While ParentSquare can send messages through both email and text messages, we believe the best experience will be through the phone/tablet app which you can download by the links below.
DOWNLOAD FROM APPLE'S APP STORE
You can also create a password for your ParentSquare account on your computer by clicking HERE.
