State of the Town

Mayor Saji George presented the State of the Town on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce luncheon. The Town's Annual Report was also presented to attendees. Copies of the report are scheduled to be mailed to all Sunnyvale residents within the next couple of weeks. You may also view the Annual Report on our website by clicking here.

Sunnyvale Fire attends conference

Sunnyvale Arson Investigators/Fire Inspectors Peggy Scott, Roy Hawkins, and Keith Adams represented the Sunnyvale Fire Department at the North Texas Fire Marshal's Conference, Feb. 4-6. Peggy Scott has served as a member on the Executive Board since 2016.


Over 400 fire investigators, fire inspectors, and fire prevention personnel attended this year's conference.

Rails to Trails Project

The Rails to Trails project will be considered at the 4B meeting being held on Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. This project entails purchasing 4.1 miles of former rail bed to build a future multi-use trail. The cost to purchase the property is $495,000 plus expenses. A public hearing on the project will be held. Residents are encouraged to attend to provide public input.

Decals are available for pick-up at Town Hall in the Utility Billing Department. You will need to provide your address or water account number (limit two per household).
