High Expectations:
Every Scholar, Every Day
A Word from Principal Haynes
Greetings Parents,
The school year is in full swing and now almost all of our scholars know where to go and know their teacher's name. Kindergarten parents, please make sure your child learns their teacher's name. This is important!!
We hope to see all of our K-2 parents at Open House, THIS Wednesday, August 28th at 6:15PM!! It is a perfect time to come out to meet the teacher and learn about classroom procedures and expectations for the year. Remember, in order for our scholars to do well in the testing grades, it is important that they have a STRONG foundation in the lower grades. We need to build strong readers and math scholars at that level.
If you have not purchased headphones for your child, PLEASE do so ASAP. In order for the children to work on iReady, they NEED headphones! Please contact your child's teacher for any additional supplies that are needed.
Thank you for your patience with the dismissal process! I PROMISE you, it gets better each week. Just follow the directions of staff and it will move quickly. But remember--it doesn't start moving until AFTER the bell rings. So yes, the line will be long before we start loading cars.
DO NOT walk up to the K/1 car rider section and request your child. If you are going to walk onto campus, your child is a walker. Your child will not be released to you that way so please send in a note to your child's teacher to change the dismissal to walker if that is what you want to do. I cannot stress again the importance of following this directive. Scholars will no longer be released here, you will have to walk to the front office and wait for them to come to the front after car rider dismissal has been completed.
For the safety of ALL children and staff members, please follow these instructions. If you have a problem, contact me and I will gladly assist you!
Wishing you an AMAZING and BLESSED week!!
Principal Haynes
Headphones
Parents, a NUMBER ONE supply that scholars need are headphones (not ear buds). There a few stores you can find inexpensive ($5-10) headphones: Big Lots and Five Below. The students must work on iReady in the classrooms and they need headphones for that. Please make it a priority to get these. Thank you!!
