NCStar Agendas
How TMS organizes agendas for NCStar
Meetings
Team Members and Meeting Terminology
- The TMS Leadership Team (consisting of the Principal, the Assistant Principal, and the Blended Learning Instructional Facilitator) meets weekly.
- The TMS School Improvement Team (consisting of goal chairs, grade level chairs, two at large teachers, and the above mentioned LT members) meet monthly.
- NCStar calls the School Improvement Team the School Leadership Team, which was confusing, at first.
- Best Practice for NCStar is that the Leadership Team (NCStar terminology) meets twice a month, for at least an hour, but only one of them has to be the full team.
- TMS counts one TMS Leadership Team (I-SS terminology) and one School Improvement Team (I-SS terminology) as our two Leadership Team meetings (NCStar terminology)
Schedule
- The TMS Leadership Team meets weekly on Friday mornings.
- The TMS School Improvement Team meets monthly on the first Monday of the month. This schedule was presented at the beginning of the year teacher meetings and is considered routine.
