Issue 10: June 2022

Big picture

It is hard to believe that we have finished another school year. Our scholars have been flexible, resilient, and adaptable this school year. We look forward to having many students join us for summer learning.

I want to thank you for trusting us with your child's education at Fridley Middle School and for your partnership. I hope you have a restful and safe summer.

Go Tigers!

Common question

Should children get their routine vaccinations during COVID-19?
*Children who are not protected by vaccines may be more likely to get diseases like measles and whooping cough. As communities are opening up, it's important for parents to work with their children's doctor or nurse to make sure their children stay up to date on routine vaccines.

Parent Portal Mobile App

Download the parent portal mobile app for up-to-date information on your child's progress. See the attached flyer for more information.

Fridley Public Schools uses Peachjar, an online flyer management service to share flyers to Fridley families. School approved flyers are now sent to parents electronically and posted on the school website. Parents can simply click flyers they receive through email or click the Peachjar button or icon on each school's homepage.

This 'green' initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduces copy costs by thousands of dollars. In addition, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.
