Newsletter January 2016
There are a lot of things going on in the next few months!
We’re working hard to organize an Elementary Winterfest on the afternoon of February 19th during the school day. PreK – 5th grade students will be included in this event. We’ll need lots of help to pull this together. If you’re willing to help in any way, please contact the PTG.
Our spring book fair will be coming to town at the end of the February vacation. It arrives on March 1 and will be here until Monday March 7th! Come to the school library and check out this awesome selection of books! Your purchases help to bring new books to our elementary classrooms!
Winterfest Kick Off
We plan to kick off the elementary students Winterfest with a celebration on 2/12/16 from 6-8pm in the cafeteria. This event is for kindergarten – 5th grade and will benefit the PTG. We have music, dancing and refreshments! We promise to have a lot of FUN!
**NEW – Direct Donation to the PTG**
Do you really want more candles? Chocolates? or Wrapping Paper?
Fundraising - Just the word alone is enough to bring your stress level up! Here at the Parent Teacher Group we feel the exact same way. We’re all busy with work, kids, extra-curricular activities, household responsibilities and more - who has time to go around begging people to buy things they don’t really want?! Instead, what if everyone made a donation directly to the PTG where 100% of the funds went right back to the students and the school?! Nothing to do, make or sell and 100% of funds raised vs 10- 15% of funds raised - Sounds like a win to us! So...in lieu of sending students home with the daunting task of selling door to door, collecting money and delivering goods, please help support the PTG and our students by making a direct donation. Fundraising?!
Thank You in Advance for Your Support!
❏ $15 - I do not want to bake, so here is the money I would have spent on those cupcakes.
❏ $25 - I do not want to hit up friends, family and co-workers, so here is the money I would have spent buying wrapping paper
❏ $50 - I do not want to walk, swim, or run in any activity that has the word “thon” in it. Here is the money I would have spent on my child’s “free” t-shirt.
❏ $75 - I do not want to attend any fancy balls, so here is the money I would have spent on a new outfit.
❏ $100 - I really wouldn’t have helped anyway, so here is the money to forget my name. ❏ $_____ - I am making this donation to express my appreciation for having nothing to buy, sell or do except fill out this form.
