Principal's Newsletter
From the desk of Mrs. McDevitt
June 6, 2021
It is hard to believe that we are almost finished school.
Congratulations to our Pre-K, Kindergarten and 8th grade families as they celebrate their child's success!!
Friday will be an early dismissal at 11:45 am.
Please read below for the weekly updates and reminders.
God's blessings,
Mrs. McDevitt
Heat Wave Update
Due to the forecasted high heat index this week we will make some adjustments for the children.
All students may wear their gym uniform this week (Monday to Thursday). Additional water bottles may be sent in.
In any un-airconditioned spaces, students will be permitted to remove their mask during that class period.
You also have the option of going virtual during this timeframe (please email the homeroom teacher and my office if doing this).
Please be assured your child's safety is our first priority. The nursing staff will be monitoring the children as well as the main office.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Grade 4 Wax Museum
Grade 3 Pioneer Days
Third grade will participate in a simulation called Apple Valley School as an
extension of their Social Studies and Language Arts curriculum. They will pretend to be
students in a one room schoolhouse. This will begin on Monday, June 14th and end on Wednesday, June 16th. Students may come to school in Pioneer clothing or wear their SATG uniform. Thank you to Mrs. Duffey, Mrs. Stark, and Miss Gardner for planning this special event.

WHEN THIS IS OVER
When this is over,
may we never again take for granted
a handshake with a stranger
conversations with neighbors
a crowded theater
Friday night out
the taste of Communion
a routine checkup
the school rush each morning
coffee with a friend
the stadium roaring
each deep breath
a boring Tuesday
life itself.
When this ends,
may we find that we have become
more like the people we wanted to be,
we were called to be,
we hoped to be.
And may we stay that way – better for each other because of the worst.
