Great depression
Why did the Great Depression happen?
The roots of the problem
What we now call the Great Depression was a worldwide economic slump, at its worst between 1929 and 1934, that brought about a collapse of international trade and resullted in mass unemployment . Although the depression is associated with the 1930s, some of the economic and political problems that caused it had their roots in world war 1 (1914-1918), and would not be fully resolved until world war 2 (1939-194)
Great Depression
The decade between the 1920s was a good time to be american ; wealth and luxury were on the rise, culture and music had reached a new pinnacle, and the world was returning to normalcy following world war 1 all this changed after the stock market crash of 1929 slammed the United States into the Great Depression. Which would last more than a decade.
