Healthy Choices!
I wanted to share with you what a wonderful morning I had with our Copopa Kindergarten classes.
Today I read to the Kindergarteners from the USDA educational book "Two Bite Club". Through the book the students learned about the different types of food groups and why it's important to try at least two bites of a food to see if they may end up liking something new. The book also touches upon why it's important to have a balanced plate and how we offer that to them in our lunchroom each day.
Each of the students also received a sample item from each of the food groups in their "surprise lunch bags".
The students also each received a copy of the book for themselves to take home and share with their families.
They all had a lot of interactive fun and so many of them came up to tell me what their favorites were and how much they liked the food, just like the character in the book did! It was a great way to spend a morning
Have a wonderful rest of the day - Brandi
To my much loved Columbia Family,
First, I would like to say the last 4 years I have been part of the Columbia family have been so special to me. From the first moment I walked in to every school I felt like this is where I belonged. I have gained so many great lifelong friends. The love and support I received during a very difficult time in my life was amazing. I will miss everyone very much. As I move onto the next chapter of my life I send love to you all and I am not saying goodbye, I am saying see you later.
With much love, Mel

Speed Stacking Record
It’s official. The Copopa PE classes once again helped set a new Guinness World record for sport stacking! On November 8, 2018, Copopa PE classes joined 624,390 students and other stackers all over the world to set a new Guinness World record for the most people sport stacking at multiple locations in one day. If your son/daughter participated that day and wants to print a certificate you can go to thewssa.com/stackup/2018/stamp-of-approval and type in their name for a personal certificate.
