SSCS Mad Science Night
On Tuesday, October 29, SSCS celebrated our 5th annual Mad Science Night! This year's Villain themed experiments were full or spooky, gooey, scientific fun!
Families rotated through centers that included dissecting squids, escaping the Riddler's trap, and making their own bath bombs, light sabers, fizzy apple art, and smoke-breathing dragons! They also made their own ooey gooey version of Venom with jet black oobleck!
Our teachers and staff loved sharing these fun and creepy STEM activities with students and their families!
We can't wait until next year!

SSCS Middle School Yoga
Seasoned yoga instructor Beth Stone blessed middle school language arts classes with a practice in mindfulness and body awareness. Students participated in a brief yoga and meditation practice to get out of their heads and into their bodies! These activities reinforced the importance of a healthy mind/body relationship and how vital it is for positive day-to-day living.
Thank you Ms. Beth for bringing this peace and light to middle school!
