Goodbye school...hello summer break!


The end of May brought the 2014-2015 school year to a close. Another successful school year has wrapped up.


PCMS halls may be void of student activity, but not void of all activity. Preparations are underway for the 2015-2016 school year.


Wednesday, August 5th is the first day of school for the 2015-2016 year.

THE GRILL MASTERS

PCMS administrators fired up the grills and prepared lunch for PCMS staff members on May 14th.

ADMINISTRATION IS ON THE MOVE

Administrative changes are happening at PCMS. Congratulations to Julie Thacker and Kyle Tutterow! Mrs. Thacker has been appointed the new principal at Central Elementary. While Mrs. Tutterow will be moving from the guidance department to the main office to serve as an assistant principal.

JR. ACADEMIC SUPER BOWL TEAMS

Please congratulate all of the Jr. Academic Super Bowl teams for a job well done at the Area Competition on May 2nd. The Science team placed 1st with a score of 24 out of 25. The English team placed 1st with a score of 22. The Social Studies team was 2nd with a score of 21. The Interdisciplinary team placed 3rd with a score of 18. The Math team was 4th with a score of 18. The teams' state rankings are on the IASP.org website.

COMMUNITY HELPERS

Saturday, May 2nd, was a great morning for a service project at the Plainfield Recreation Center! Our PCMS Student Ambassadors cleaned up the grounds.

Many thanks to our awesome PCMS PTO! They provided popsicles for students on May 8th's PTO spirit day.

VOLCANOES ERUPT IN PCMS

Using paper mache, paint and some elbow grease, volcanoes were formed by students in Mrs. Flint's class. Then, the fun began - time for the volcanoes to erupt. Students carefully added liquid and watched their masterpieces come to life.

George Best was awarded the April Value Award, "Respect the Environment ". He was recognized for accomplishment at the May school board meeting.

Your PCMS Robotics Team hosted the Second Annual PCMS Dodgeball Tournament. Many teams entered, one team prevailed.
